Ken Harris is the founder of Harris Architecture (formerly Ken Harris Architect) and is currently one of four principals. He has been practicing architecture for over 40 years. He founded the company in 1983 and is a past chairman of the Provo City Design Review Committee.
Ken has designed countless recognizable projects throughout Utah, Idaho and Arizona. Specializing in Residential, Commercial Office buildings, Mixed-Use Developments, Condominiums and Retail spaces.
In addition to Designing, Planning, and Managing Projects, Ken is also responsible for overseeing the Project Managers, developing and maintaining relationships, developing new business and running the company in general.
Ken graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor’s Degree and is currently licensed in Utah, Idaho, Colorado, Arizona, and Montana. Having created some of the finest projects in Utah County and surrounding areas Ken is one of the most talented Architects in Utah Valley, and is more than capable of bringing your project to reality.
As an architect and a principal for Harris Architecture Brett is responsible for designing projects for owners and developers. Brett graduated with a Master’s Degree in Architecture from University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Brett has worked for more than 20 years at the firm and specializes in designing and managing a wide variety of commercial projects. He also oversees the residential drafting and design, he designs and produces construction documents for Custom Homes, Multi-family dwellings, and starter homes.
Brett Harris has helped develop some of the best designs in Utah County and has developed long term client relationships. His knowledge base has helped many projects to succeed staying within budgets and maintaining project timelines. He manages client expectations and resolves project issues quickly. Brett is a leader who brings experience, knowledge and expertise to each project.
As an architect and a principal for Harris Architecture Kory is involved in designing and managing a wide variety of projects. Kory graduated with a Master’s Degree in Architecture from University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He has worked for the company for 20 years and is in charge of the design, completion construction documents on office buildings, mixed-use projects, residential projects, and managing teams of drafters.
Illustrations/drawings have always been a passion of Kory’s so in addition to the managing of project teams for construction projects, he also specializes in producing hand-rendered drawings for both commercial and residential jobs. In addition to his work done here in the state of Utah, Kory has spent considerable time over the past few years working closely with owners and cities on project plans and approvals in Arizona, Colorado, and Idaho. The experience has proved to be invaluable as each city/state is different in how they accept and review project plans.
LEED® AP BD+C
For almost 20 years Layne has worked as a manager at Harris Architecture. He is also a principal and works as the office manager to oversee the development and operations of the company. Throughout his time at the firm, he has managed projects ranging from commercial office buildings and mixed-use projects to student housing projects. Layne has a Bachelor’s degree in business management from Utah Valley University and is currently a LEED AP in Building Design and Construction.
Our firm is committed to helping design energy efficient and eco-friendly projects and Layne has been involved in many of these projects throughout his time at Harris Architecture. He has been registered as a LEED AP since 2008 and is always looking for new opportunities and innovations within the green industry to assist in project design and development.
With over 40 years of experience in interior design, Lynn leads the team of interior designers who work for Harris Architecture. Lynn specializes in tenant designs, interior and exterior color schemes, furniture layouts, and the overall design for custom spaces. Lynn is also responsible for managing the team of interior designers, developing new business, and overseeing the interiors department in general.
Becky is the most recent interior designer to come to work for Harris Architecture. She has worked in the industry for Nearly 10 years and since coming to our firm she has had the opportunity to work on several large scale projects working on layouts of interiors, retail spaces, office spaces and residential condos. She also works on other Office Buildings and Tenant finishes, creating interior and exterior color schemes.
As an integral part of our design team Dale works closely with each architect from the design inception to the project completion. Dale has been involved in the architecture industry for over 40 years and has been with Harris Architecture for 12 of those years. He is responsible for the majority of the illustrations and renderings produced by our office.
Bruce is one of the project managers for Harris Architecture. He has been with our firm for nearly 20 years and has a great knowledge in all aspects of construction, documentation, and computer IT services. Through out his time with the company he has managed many different projects and specializes in commercial buildings. As the company “IT” specialist he has an extensive knowledge of AutoCAD and oversees a full-time staff of drafters.
Jared has been with Harris Architecture for over a decade and is the most recent employee to become a Project Manager. He is our project manager in charge of all residential projects in the office and manages several drafters within the firm. He oversees the production of construction documents on hundreds of homes that Harris Architecture produces in any given year.
